Andrea Mitchell
Andrea Mitchell is an American television journalist anchor and commentator for NBC News based in Washington D.C. Following a childhood in New York City, Mitchell obtained a bachelor's degree in English literature at the University of Pennsylvania. Mitchell started her career as a journalist at KYW Radio and TV, Philadelphia in the year 1967. 1996, she was hired by WDVM-TV Washington DC, a CBS-affiliated station (then WTOP). In Washington she was made general correspondent for NBC News two year later. In 1980, she began covering the White House. 1988 became the principal journalist for Congress. She was made as the head White House correspondent by NBC News in the year 1992. Mitchell was a guest as a guest on TV news program Meet the Press as a host and panelist. She was part of the panel during 1988 Presidential Debates between George Bush, and Michael Dukakis. Mitchell is married to Alan Greenspan who was former chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. In 2005, Mitchell was awarded the highly coveted Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and, in 2004, she was awarded the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) presented Mitchell by awarding her the Leonard Zeidenberg Award for her contribution to the protection and protection of First Amendment Freedoms. Mitchell first covered for the White House for NBC News between 1981 and 1988 during the entirety of Ronald Reagan's terms as President. Mitchell was a reporter on a range of noteworthy stories, such as the Iran-Contra scandal, the tax reforms to the budget and arms control. Mitchell traveled with Ronald Reagan many times to attend summits and discuss topics like that of the Iran Contra scandal.
